Michael Sykes

Parliamentarian

Michael Sykes is an Architectural Technician at Mead & Hunt's Green Bay office, bringing a unique perspective shaped by personal resilience and a commitment to community empowerment. Michael has actively contributed to initiatives advocating for stringent safety standards in architecture and has served on the Dream Spaces Scholarship committee, providing full tuition for students to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's School of Architecture and Urban Planning.


Michael currently serves as the Parliamentarian and Project Pipeline Chair for Wisco NOMA, focusing on introducing underserved youth to career opportunities in architecture and design. Michael's journey from adversity to leadership exemplifies his unwavering dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion within the architectural profession.

Wisco NOMA is a professional nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(6) of the IRS tax code. As such, contributions (i.e., donations) made directly to Wisco NOMA are NOT deductible as charitable contributions on a donor’s federal income tax return. They may be deductible as trade or business expenses if ordi­nary and necessary in the conduct of the taxpayer's business. The organization may be required to make certain disclosures and pay a proxy tax in connection with the dues payment.
