Marion Clendenen-Acosta is a distinguished architect and educator with a profound commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within the architectural profession. As a founding member of Wisco NOMA (Wisconsin Chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects), she has been instrumental in establishing and advancing the organization's mission to promote diversity and support minority architects in Wisconsin. Marion served as the inaugural President of Wisco NOMA and, as the outgoing Immediate Past President, continues to lead the DEI Committee, driving initiatives that foster inclusive practices and equitable opportunities in the field. Her leadership and dedication have significantly impacted the architectural community, inspiring a more inclusive and diverse profession.

Wisco NOMA is a professional nonprofit organization under section 501(c)(6) of the IRS tax code. As such, contributions (i.e., donations) made directly to Wisco NOMA are NOT deductible as charitable contributions on a donor’s federal income tax return. They may be deductible as trade or business expenses if ordi­nary and necessary in the conduct of the taxpayer's business. The organization may be required to make certain disclosures and pay a proxy tax in connection with the dues payment.
